At the end of January I had the special opportunity to travel to the remote Rukwa region and meet and portray several teenage mothers in Mpui. The encounters were deeply moving and left a lasting impression - despite the existing language barriers.
In Dar es Salaam I then met Vivienne Sirikwa, one of the founders of Forward Motion. She has set up a centre for young mothers there, where they can take sewing courses and learn a craft that will provide them with their own source of income in the long term. The link below takes you directly to Vivienne's impressive interview.
