With Medical Mission Network, we have been supporting the Charlotte Hospital in Sanya Juu, Tanzania, since 2023. The hospital is run by the Holy Spirit Sisters and over the years has grown from a simple dispensary to a health center and finally a hospital 3 years ago. The sisters have really achieved great things. But of course they can't do it all on their own and so there are now over a hundred employees. One of them is Gaspar Martin Sulley, a young man who has completed his training as a clinical officer and has been doing great work at the Charlotte Hospital for 5 years. His biggest dream is to become a doctor. But in Tanzania, by local standards, that is very expensive and there are no scholarships, so he can't do it on his own!
There is currently only one doctor at Charlotte Hospital, so more doctors are urgently needed. Since we and the nurses value Gaspar and his work very much, we would like to finance his medical studies and we need your help to do this.
One year costs the equivalent of CHF4000 for tuition fees, accommodation and food. The course lasts 5 years. This means we are looking for 10 donors who are willing to donate CHF400/year over 5 years.
And to ensure that Charlotte Hospital really benefits from this in the end, we have received written assurances from the government that Gaspar will return to Charlotte Hospital once he has completed his studies!
